Staying In and Decorating,

here is the before:

after:

this is the light in the center of the room, oddly the place seems like it was designed as a sort of hotel room. the wallpaper is decidely wretched and horribly applied but mostly forgetable. i covered the light with some nice ricepaper...

my first breakfast of eggs and rice. the heated floor is a blessing and a curse.

the red paper i was going to use for a seperate project but it was way too little (aka i can't read mm/cm) so i made fans instead. these are covering the horrible blinking lights of my modem boxes.

why couldn't they have gotten a table with a couple drawers is all i'm saying. to the right is my closet and to my left the bed, i'm going to find fabric and put up a divider that hangs from the ceiling to seperate the space.

mmm sticker decal... not quite sure if this is going to have issues coming off. hope not.

i went to emart and got the perfect bars for my curtains. scarily enough the tacks went in pretty easily. so far things are staying in place. i think the walls though might just be concrete but i can't be sure. at least by the door they are.

hello laundry room
hello view from my window.
i'd say more but i'm feverish...till next time.

the fans are brilliant. as is the rice paper in the overhead light. it's really so lovely! I'm charmed by it, the wood, the sunlight, et al. seems silly there's no way to control the floor heat? or is it like a whole building thing. decal - find a razor. it will be fine.

the floor heat is on from 11pm-8am? or 9am or something- it's bldg wide- i can apparently turn it up if i want? but only for that time- i guess it would radiate then more during the day as usually the floor is still slightly warm from the night? it's like those radiator situations in chicago i guess? i wonder when they decide we don't needit anymore- sure it makes it cheaper but ...

Rice and eggs for breakfast eh? I distinctly remember telling you this was a yummy combo and you pooh-poohed it. Glad to see you come around.
